Doing funded training seriously, placing people at the center and not just the hours to be reported, is probably not something to be taken for granted. We know it, and anyone working in the sector knows it too. That is why, when a message like the one we are publishing below arrives, its meaning goes far beyond a simple thank-you: it is confirmation that it is worth doing things well.

The course for Dining Room and Bar Assistant, funded by the Sicily Region under Notice 7/2023, has concluded its theoretical phase, while the internship will begin shortly. Among the participants is someone who, at 57, chose to challenge herself and start learning again. Reading her words reminds us why this work matters: not only to transfer skills, but to restore confidence and the desire to grow.

This is the training model we believe in. And it is the one we will continue to pursue.

“I would like to express my most sincere gratitude for the experience I had during the Dining Room and Bar Assistant course, which ended yesterday for the theoretical part only; the internship will begin in a few days.

At 57 years old, finding myself back ‘in the classroom’ was something unexpected and, at the same time, deeply meaningful. It had truly been a lifetime since I had experienced something like this, and at first I cannot deny that I felt a bit of emotion and even some fear. However, thanks to the professionalism, patience, and humanity shown by those who led this course, everything turned into an extremely positive and enriching experience.

I had the opportunity not only to learn new skills, but also to challenge myself, rediscover my desire to learn, and share this path with people who, like me, brought with them different stories and experiences.

I will carry with me everything I have learned, not only professionally but also on a human level.
