“Apri…amo la scuola” was a project carried out with the “S.A. Guastella” Comprehensive School in Chiaramonte Gulfi, set in a local context marked by the fragmentation of the territory into several residential areas and hamlets, with school facilities spread across both the urban center and rural areas.

The project was designed to allow students, equipped with a “virtual backpack,” to learn the main rules, key concepts, and in-depth content on specific topics related to the theatre field, through a dedicated workshop.

Among the project’s outcomes, we observed an improvement in the communication skills of the students involved, especially those with a migrant background, also thanks to a better understanding of the local area and an initial approach to the use of the Sicilian dialect. There was also an improvement in imitation, analysis, and synthesis skills, as well as in creative, original, and personal abilities, which fostered self-awareness, including awareness of their emotions, limits, and above all, their potential.

Also noteworthy was the growth in collaborative spirit and the ability to work in heterogeneous groups.
